Driver R Alfeld defended a breach of Rule 869(3)(b) in that he drove carelessly when shifting outwards near the 200m when not in a position to do so resulting in his runner locking wheels with A BETTER JACKALACK losing ground. After viewing the replays and hearing evidence from Stewards and Mr Alfeld, the Adjudicative Committee found the charge proved and suspended Mr Alfeld's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing today up to and including 26 July 2026 (2 days).
